Thermally treated hot mash is converted into hot solid shaped pellets by mechanically pressed through die ring holes with help of two or three press rollers, which is then cut to a predetermined sizes, the thermal treat can be done only through steam addition into the conditioner at 85 °C. The result of conditioning and pelleting process, starch is gelatinized, salmonella is fully deactivated. The pelleting technology is also used in pelleting the wheat bran, bagasse, wood, plastics, sewage sludge, chicken manure, classified MSV, and chemicals. Die ring hole sizes usually range from 2,5 mm to 16 mm.
